Paid a visit to the Prestwich branch of Croma the other weekend. For those not in the know, Croma is a gourmet pizza joint and it is exceptionally good. The guys who own and run this place were formerly ran a Pizza Express joint but a few years back the owners of PE took all the franchises back and this was what prompted the guys at Croma to make it what it is today and I have to say they do it a LOT better than PE. I went with Ester the posh bird as its always a sure bet and with the great food and excellent service I can’t fail to impress her. They have several branches in the North West so if you fancy something a bit different in the Pizza game then give them a whirl

For starters I had the garlic prawns and I had a Camembert, tomato, smoked pancetta pizza with garlic and anchovies for my main. For desert we shared a raspberry sundae
